• Summer holidays - classes still on

Hi, it may be summer holidays for most people, but our bellydance classes are still running through the summer on Thursday evenings.

The Lifestyle Centre is such a great venue, and it has lovely cool air conditioning so even on these hot days we can still shimmy our socks off (not that we wear any!) and not get overheated.

So why not come on down and give bellydancing a try? I'm sure you'll love it

  • No class 30th June - but a great show to watch!!

I won't be teaching class on 30th June, as I and lots of other dancers around Manchester will be going to wtch this amazing-looking show by a very talented dancer and choreagrapher - Ozgen.

Check it out and join us at the Zion Arts Centre in Hulme

  • New term starting 28th April

Welcome back to a new term of bellydancing!! We're hitting the dancefloor shimmying this week with core conditioning, shimmyimg, and some fun 'nobody watching' dancing :)

Don't worry if you can't make it this week - come along and join in at any time, we're always learning something new

The Lifestyle Centre, Woodhouse Park 7.30 Thursday

  • Spring Break

I am taking a short break from Easter for a couple of weeks, so there will be NO CLASSES from 31st March to 21st April inclusive. The spring term will start up again on Thursday 28th April at 7.30pm, at the same venue - the WHP Lifestyle Centre.

Looking forward to a new term full of fun new dances and ideas to try out

    See you soon

    Alizzah xx

  • Welcome back to dancing!!

I'm loving being back dancing again, and also love the new dance studio at the Lifestyle Centre! It's great to see old friends returning to class and see new faces trying out this beautiful dance for themselves. It doesn't appeal/suit everyone but you HAVE to try it, and many women find a whole new side to themselves through the dance.

I'm amazed to see one student back this week just 8 weeks after havng a hip replacement operation - amazing! It shows there can be no excuses for not trying belydancing!!

I notice a slimming club has started at the same venue as my class - this dance is a pefect partner for clubs like these as it can be a gentle introduction to exercise for those who feel too large or heavy to go to a gym or do a Zumba class. It also improves body-confidence so that you start to feel good even before you get to your goal weight. And don't forget - it's fun too!!
